Expand Your Influence

True Colours. True North. True Grit.

I’ve been thinking a lot about influence lately - not the kind built on job titles or airtime, but the kind that’s built on who we are when no one’s watching.

Because when pressure hits and the market gets noisy, people don’t follow your title or the role that you operate under, they either follow you and your presence. Or they don’t.
Your energy.
Your ability to stay congruent in the middle of chaos. The choice to make them feel psychologically safe or not.

This week, I’m diving into what it really means to expand your influence - from the inside out - through three dimensions that shape how you lead, connect, and create momentum.

🎥 Watch this week’s episode on YouTube for the full experience:

TRUE COLOURS… WHO YOU ARE

There’s the trained you - the one who learned the systems, the metrics, and the “shoulds” of leadership.
And then there’s the true you - the one who leads from alignment and congruence, not from needing approval.

Your True Colours show up when you stop ‘doing’ leadership and start living it.
When you stop proving yourself to others and start trusting your own level of value.

Because influence doesn’t come from the externalisation of you, it comes from your insides coming out (in the most attractive of ways 😉 ).
Your team doesn’t need you to be perfect.
They need you to be real and real for them.

‘Influence begins the moment you stop proving yourself and start trusting yourself.’

TRUE NORTH … WHY YOU LEAD

Most leaders I know are waiting.
Waiting for the timing to be right.
Waiting for certainty.
Waiting for someone to tell them it’s safe to move.

This is the one word I want you to focus on….

Because waiting is just scarcity disguised as strategy.
It’s a quiet fear of getting it wrong.

And the truth is … the universe doesn’t respond to hesitation.
It responds to momentum.

Your True North isn’t just a destination .. it’s an energy you align with.
It’s the inner compass that says, ‘Move now. Course correct later. And let’s go vertical together’

Because clarity doesn’t come before movement - it comes because of it.

When you choose momentum, you send a signal to life itself that says,
’I’m ready for what’s next.’

‘Momentum is a magnet. Scarcity stalls. Decide, move, align - then watch what unfolds.’

TRUE GRIT… HOW YOU LEAD

True Grit isn’t about being tough - there’s no John Wayne happnin’ here… it’s about staying in motion when things don’t go to plan.

It’s about iteration.
Experimenting.
Making mistakes.
Evolving.

If you’ve followed my work over the past year, you’ve seen it - the reinventions, the trial and error, the evolution, the experiments.
But that’s what it takes to build something that lasts and is meaningful to nobody else - but you.

We talk about ‘getting there,’ but maybe there doesn’t exist.
Maybe the real goal is momentum.

True Grit is about choosing movement over mastery.
It’s trusting that every experiment, every misstep, and every messy middle is part of your evolution as a leader … and as a human.

‘True grit isn’t about never falling. It’s about using every fall to build momentum.’

The Heart of It All

When your colours are true, your north is clear, and your grit is real …
you stop chasing influence.
You become it.

That’s when people lean in.
That’s when opportunities start to meet you halfway.
And that’s when leadership becomes something others can feel, and follow with.
